The Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Manager Assistant / Executive Assistant to support our Senior Project Manager within the Restoration & Waterproofing division.
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong academic background in Building Science or Engineering who are looking to apply their technical knowledge in a client-facing, analytical, and coordination-focused environment.
This role emphasizes:
- Technical documentation
- Building envelope understanding
- Client and consultant coordination
- Estimating support and project analytics
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Documentation Support
- Review building envelope reports and projects specifications
- Assist in preparing proposals, scopes of work, and technical documentation
- Support the development of estimates, cost breakdowns, and project budgets
- Maintain organized digital records of project documentation and correspondence
Project Coordination
- Support the Sr. Project Manager in planning and tracking project milestones
- Coordinate Zoom meetings, project introductions, and client updates
- Liaise with property managers, consultants, and internal teams
- Onboarding new projects and setting up project workflows
Client Relations & Communication
- Act as a professional point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Prepare reports, and meeting summaries
- Support relationship management with property management firms and consultants
Financial & Administrative Coordination
- Create timeline for invoicing of projects
- Project costing, data tracking, and reporting
- Support invoicing processes and progress tracking
- Use digital tools to improve workflow efficiency and reporting accuracy
Education and Work Experience
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related field.
- 1 – 4 years of experience in restoration, waterproofing, or building envelope projects
- Minimum 1 year experience preparing estimates and quotations
- Canadian construction experience required
- Experience with mid- and high-rise buildings strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Microsoft Excel (data tracking, costing, analysis)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Project management and documentation tools
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and building envelope reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The Waterproofing and Restoration Supervisor performs a crucial role in the restoration and preservation of various building structures. We are looking for a hands-on Waterproofing and Restoration Supervisor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills and leadership experience who enjoys being actively involved in the work—not just overseeing it.
Waterproofing and Restoration Supervisor
- Overseeing crews on various projects while working alongside them, assigning tasks, and providing training.
- Coordinate waterproofing and restoration projects, including but not limited to building repairs.
- Ensure that restoration work meets quality standards and specifications. Conduct inspections to identify issues and address them promptly.
- Responsible for taking the materials, tools, and equipment necessary for waterproofing and restoration activities to the jobsites. Coordinate with Operations Manager and ensure proper utilization.
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to coordinate work schedules, address concerns, and provide progress updates. Maintain open communication channels to facilitate effective teamwork.
- Liaising with company Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations. Enforce safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Overall site safety, conflict management and resolution.
- Problem solving at jobsite/office: identify and resolve issues related to building assemblies, equipment malfunction, or crew relationship. Implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing restoration and maintenance activities. Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend improvements as needed.
Waterproofing and Restoration Technician
- Conduct building inspections, record damages and repairs with photos & prepare reports.
- Leak investigations and exterior sealant repairs.
- Building envelope restoration.
- Complete exterior sealant repairs, and exterior painting.
- Set up boom lift, swing stage and scaffold.
- Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.
- Restore exterior concrete, stucco, and tile cladding systems.
- Operate power tools.
- Remove debris at construction sites.
- Other repairs and replace construction materials.
- Follow established safety rules and instructions.
Customer Service and Administration
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with co-workers, customers, and building managers.
- Complete paperwork at the beginning of each job.
- Inspect and maintain personal gear.
- Ensure work area is always neat and tidy.
- Ensure use of control zones.
- Participating in operations and safety meetings.
- Ad Hoc exterior maintenance duties.
Other duties as requested.
Education and Work Experience:
- Safety Training and adherence to WorkSafe BC requirements.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in waterproofing, concrete restoration, or a related trade.
- Strong knowledge of sealants, coatings, membranes, and repair systems.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in construction or restoration environments.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Be capable of functioning in outdoor environment.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to staff.
- Criminal record check will be required.

Concrete Finisher
Allstar Waterproofing & Restoration Systems Ltd. is seeking dedicated and experienced Concrete Finishers to join our team in Vancouver, BC. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to diverse restoration and waterproofing projects across the Lower Mainland.
Position Details
- Job Title: Concrete Finisher
- NOC: 73100 – Concrete Finishers
- Term: 1-year contract (potential for extension)
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Hourly Rate: $34.00
- Location: Work will be conducted at various job sites throughout Vancouver and the surrounding areas. The physical office location is Unit 100 – 220 Victoria Drive, Vancouver, BC V5L 0C7.

Key Responsibilities (Job Duties)
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to concrete work, with a focus on restoration and repairs:
- Concrete Repair and Preparation: Prepare, clean, and grind concrete surfaces, remove damaged concrete, and set forms for concrete placement and repair.
- Placing and Finishing Concrete: Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and power screeds, ensuring proper consistency and finish.
- Shaping and Smoothing: Operate power vibrators to consolidate concrete and use hand and power tools (e.g., floats, trowels, edgers) to produce a smooth, textured, or specialty finish.
- Curing and Sealing: Apply curing compounds, sealants, or other materials to protect concrete and enhance its durability.
- Formwork and Reinforcement: May assist in setting up and dismantling concrete forms and placing reinforcing materials like rebar or mesh.
- Restoration Work: Specifically focus on fixing, repairing, and restoring existing concrete structures, including patching, crack injection, and spall repairs.
- Safety and Standards: Ensure work is completed according to project specifications, blueprints, and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience as a Concrete Finisher.
- Must have experience and certifications in Swing Stage Operations- Fall Protection Plan & WHMIS
- Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to lift weights ranging from 20 to 50 lbs regularly.
- Working at Heights: Must be comfortable and capable of working safely at heights (e.g., on scaffolding, elevated work platforms).
- Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively (oral and written) with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work well as a team player in a dynamic construction environment.

- Multi-Platform Access Mastery: Documented experience across all facets of Commercial, Strata, Industrial, High-Rise, and Low-Rise systems, including:
- Suspended Access: IRATA/SPRAT rope access, swing stage.

Applicants will be screened on their ability to manage the following:
- Chemical Mitigation: Identifying correct solutions for mineral buildup without damaging architectural finishes.
- Rope Rigging: Advanced knowledge of Y-hangs, re-belays, and rope protection.
- Complex Geometry: Navigating difficult architectural features like overhangs and recessed skylights.
Mandatory Requirements
- Certification: Valid, current IRATA/SPRAT Certification is a MUST.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of verified experience in all facets of high-rise and low-rise window cleaning and pressure washing.
